The White Horse Name


Few symbols are as enduring as the hero riding a white horse, an image found throughout history in ballads, books and poems. In the Bible, the 19th chapter of Revelation pictures Jesus returning on a white horse. The white horse is not the hero. It carries the hero.

We took the name White Horse not because we consider ourselves heroes, which dictionaries define as "persons noted for feats of courage or nobility of purpose." Rather, The White Horse Group enables donors, heroic in their giving, to move ahead with greater strength, reach and speed. We support both those who are generous in their personal giving and those who lead organizations in heroically improving the lives of hurting people.
